RICARDO (RICO) DE CASTRO
Member of LACON, Rico is a PhD candidate from UERJ (Theme: Diversity, Inequality and Shopping Mall Management), a Master's degree from ECO at UFRJ (Theme: technology and executive management), a Master's degree from PUC-Rio in Psychology (Theme: technology and executive management), an MBA in Executive management from COPPEAD at UFRJ and specialized in Strategic Communication Planning with a Social ESG bias in the vectors of Diversity and mitigation of Inequality, having previously studied Economic Sciences and Marketing.
Member of the faculty of the Postgraduate Program at the FGV Educational Development Institute since 2008. Author at Editora FGV Management, teaching in the Business Analytics and Big Data, Marketing and Digital Marketing MBAs. Experience in the strategic areas of Marketing Communication Planning and Research, working on the themes: shopping, consumption, diversity, and inequality.
Recently certified by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission in Integrated Planning for the sustainable development of the SDGs Agenda 2030. His expertise lies in advising on Integrated Strategic Development Planning. Main audiences: large and medium-sized companies and public institutions. Extensive experience in projects for shopping malls, retail, education, mining, and energy.
Main idol: his grandfather, the doctor, political and social scientist, "Citizen of the World", Dr. Josué de Castro. Author of Geography of Hunger and Geopolitics of Hunger, nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize on five occasions, having held the Presidency of the FAO Council (Rome), the position of Ambassador of Brazil to the United Nations in Geneva and being awarded the International Prize of Peace (by the United Nations), the Roosevelt Prize by the Academy of Political Sciences of the United States of America, at the University of California Campus Berkeley, as well as Citizenship of the French Legion of Honor and the Key of Paris, among other honors, such as the Brazilian Academy of Letters Award.
